I was browsing the bakery department at my local supermarket and spotted these adorable little penguins on top of cookies! I just couldn’t resist coming home and attempting them myself. I love new marshmallow ideas and especially love it when I see other people and places coming up with new ideas for marshmallows too. To make the penguins I used bare marshmallows and piped black tinted frosting for the head and flippers then orange frosting for the nose and feet. I first piped white eyes but then decided to use candy eyeballs instead because I was afraid the black frosting would run into the white eyes. I had some little marshmallow snowmen leftover from the other day (that I had put in the freezer…so smart of me!) and I decided to let it make friends with the penguins. Way too cute! I think if someone has a winter themed cake going on, these would give it the perfect touch.

Windy Days
We have been having some serious wind the last few days and outdoor items are flying everywhere. When the wind is so strong that your wreath blows it right off your door, have a back up marshmallow wreath ready to hang. Like this one here:
I piped white chocolate onto parchment paper and lined with marshmallows, added M&M’s for the ‘berries’ and used nice red ribbon for the bow and hanging.

Year End Bundt
I have a Wilton Cascade pan...which is basically an uber fancy Bundt pan and I try to utilize it at least once a year when the occasion permits. It was exciting to see such a large cake unveil as I turned the pan upside down to release the cake onto the cooling rack. I used yellow cake mix, and when it cooled surrounded it with fresh fruit.
Then cut it up for my guests….. it was missing something though...
There... all set!

Three Cheers for Three Tiers
The nice thing about entertaining a large group is that it encourages me to make more than one dessert. I know, who doesn’t like marshmallows, right? I like to please everyone though. So I took out my three tier glass dessert stand and got to work.
Top Tier – white chocolate marshmallow tea cups (this time I put chocolate with rainbow nonpareils on the bottom to act as the saucer)
Middle Tier – White chocolate covered marshmallows with Candy Snowflake Sugar Decals (super easy..and very elegant!)
Bottom Tier – home made almond and honey balls, simple sugar cookies and then around the back oatmeal cookies.

Marshmallow Army
<Singing> ‘Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la, La la la lah
I made this very cute large army of mini-marshmallow carolers. I stacked a few mini-marshmallows together using white chocolate as the glue and used chocolate morsels for the hats. I was sooo excited to use my Americolor black edible writing pen to easily give the coal eyes and buttons on these frosty treats. Which ever holiday you celebrate this season may it be merry and bright! I think the two snowmen on the right are leaning in for a hug!

Deck the Halls with Bows of Marshmallows
I piped white chocolate into circles and put the mini-marshmallows around it and put mini-m&m’s on top. I made so many cute little ornaments and decorations to hang (and eat) everywhere.

Mugshot
A friend sent me a picture she saw in her daughters American Girl catalog. It was a marshmallow turned into a little mug. I love new marshmallow ideas so of course I dropped everything to try to make some. I broke the cane top off of a mini-candy cane and carefully pushed it into the soft marshmallow. Wow, this was so simple. Peppermint and marshmallows together, these would be great to drop the whole marshmallow mug right into your hot cocoa!
