Booooo

I can just hear these adorable fondant ghosts woo’ing and boo’ing. There is a chill in the air that winter is approaching and I was woo’ing (and boo’ing) myself as I ran from the car to the garage this evening. I took plain white fondant and molded the white ghost shape. I took my fine brush to paint on the eyes and mouth with edible black coloring and gently placed them on top of the chocolate covered marshmallows just before the coating hardened.

Mary had a little marshmallow

Here is the marshmallow sheep I was talking about yesterday. I saw it in a magazine so long ago and have wanted to create it ever since. I took one large marshmallow and used white chocolate to ‘glue’ all the mini-marshmallows onto it. I could have used some candy for the eyes, and next time I definitely will.

Visions of marshmallows dancing in my head

I have the perrrrrfect marshmallow treat I already know I want to make. I will take a large marshmallow and cover it in candy coating and then take a bunch of mini-marshmallows all around it and create a sheep. I’m not sure if I will use fondant for the eyes and legs or some other candy. Too cute…. And it requires some time, which I am OUT OF TODAY! So stay tuned for a yummy squishy marshmallow lamby, hopefully tomorrow.

Let's go surfin'

Catch the wave! An edible wave that is, with a little surfer dude riding it. There are not many warm days left before winter is going to set in and I thought I would swim in one more summery creation before diving back into the Halloween marshmallow treats.  This marshmallow craft took a steady hand to create the wave, let it dry and then mold a teeny-tiny surfer and his surfboard underneath. I rolled out the deep blue fondant very thin and then pulled at it to get a ragged and ripped ‘wave crest’ type of look. Then I curved it upward. It dried quickly because it was so thin. I then used my Showtime #15 knife to cut the surfboard and little person and chocolate glued the whole piece onto a white chocolate covered marshmallow.

Can you find the fondant candy corn in the mix of candy corn? If your up for the challenge click on the label/tag “game” below this posting to find other ‘games’ I’ve posted on my blog! See if your friends can pick the correct answer.
